The Economic Development Authority (EDA)

The Economic Development Authority (EDA) members include elected City officials, local citizens and business representatives to create and maintain a pro-business environment, a high quality of personal life style and a strong sense of community. All businesses within the Spring Grove city limits are eligible for the program. Applications will be reviewed at the June 11 EDA meeting at 5:00pm at the Spring Grove Communications building.

Applications are available for download here, or at City Hall.

Business Breakfasts

The Spring Grove Economic Development Authority (EDA) has acquired a grant from the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation (SMIF), which will be used to provide several training opportunities for local businesses and entrepreneurs who are interested in starting a business.  These training sessions, or Business Breakfasts, will be free of charge for attendees.  Each session will be facilitated by Winona State University’s Adult & Continuing Education Department.

The first session will take place on Monday, April 29th 2019 at the Spring Grove Public Library from 8:00 am – 10:30 am.  A light breakfast will be provided for all attendees.

The first session, Effective Business Financial Management, will help with understanding how to use your business financial statements to improve your business.  The course will also help with finding access to capital and reducing the risks of financial errors.

Each session is limited in space, and will require participants to register for the event.  Those interested can enroll in the course by emailing EDA Co-Director Rebecca Charles at rebecca.charles@cedausa.com to register.

For more information, contact Rebecca Charles, EDA Director, at rebecca.charles@cedausa.com.
