Whether you’re looking for an outdoor adventure, a simple slice of solace, or time with family and friends, the Spring Grove area has many options.

In the driftless area, we are surrounded by the beauty of natural limestone bluffs, spring-fed trout streams and bountiful hardwood forests. Those Norwegian settlers picked a great spot to set down roots.

Our location offers the best in fly fishing, camping, hiking, birdwatching, star gazing and deer and turkey hunting. We’re also located along the route of miles of maintained snowmobile trails, and offer ice skating in Viking Memorial Park, along with many areas snowshoers and cross country athletes will enjoy.

Spring Grove also features the Sawmill Trail, a picturesque journey through the hardwood forests and rolling landscape on the outskirts of the city. It is a place for equine enthusiasts and mountain bikers alike to ride, as well as being the perfect place for a serene nature hike, or bird-watching outing. Trail begins just east of Spring grove near the elevator on the south side of Hwy 44.
